WELCOME TO MY WEBSITE     You are visitor no:

I have been painting since I was at school, more years ago than I care to think about, having been inspired by my art teachers Jack Maltman and Charles Manners. After leaving school I moved to London where other interests pushed painting to the back burner until around ten years ago when my interest was reignited. Since moving to Kirkcudbright in 1999 I have had five exhibitions, sometimes shared with friends, but mainly solo of watercolours and acrylics. I have also exhibited regularly at The Harbour Cottage Gallery in Kirkcudbright in the Gallery's own exhibitions and currently have permanent exhibitions of paintings and framed prints at The Masonic Arms in Gatehouse of Fleet and The Hollybush Inn near Ayr, both excellent places for a good meal.  My calendars and notecards can be found in Solway Books and the Post Office in Kirkcudbright. For the past two years I have organised an Art & Crafts Weekend in Kirkcudbright Town Halls for the Kirkcudbright Chamber of Commerce. This has been run in conjunction with a Continental Market in the Harbour Square and has attracted thousands of visitors to the town.

Each year Kirkcudbright's studios and other venues are open to the public for the Art & Crafts Trail Weekend - I take part in this and for the past two years have temporarily converted my garage into a gallery and tearoom ( my wife makes wonderful cakes). The dates for the 2009 weekend are Friday 31 July - Sunday 2 August.
